Vision

We have a mission and a vision.

Our mission, simply put, is “Knowing Jesus and making Jesus known”.  That mission is not new: it’s been the beating heart of our church for more than 170 years. But it’s a mission that’s older still, because it flows from the great command and the great commission of Jesus himself: knowing and loving God. (Matt 23:37), and making the good news known. (Matt 28:19).

But what about the future?  That’s our vision. Under God, our vision is to grow to become a vibrant all-age church of 100 disciples all seeking know Jesus and make Jesus known.

We intend to grow because we believe the seed of Gods word is powerful. We intend to grow because we believe God has many people in this village and along this coast that he will call to himself. We intend to be a vibrant all-age church because the church is a family – young and old, men and women, boys and girls. We’re praying to grow to 100 because it’s achievable but also faith stretching! We want to make disciples because that’s what Jesus commands: disciples who will in turn make more disciples.
